The Winemaker Experience with Justin Taylor!

Friday March 27th and April 17th 4pm-6pm

Join us in the barrel room (kept at 55°) for an intimate tasting with winemaker Justin Taylor. Enjoy a selection of wines personally chosen by Justin while he guides you through the winemaking process—from fermentation and aging to the development of flavor in the bottle. Guests will also enjoy a tour of the production facility for a behind-the-scenes look at how our wines are crafted. It’s a rare opportunity to ask questions and hear firsthand insights about the art of winemaking. Seating is very limited.

Spring Wine Dinner with James Beard Nominated Chef Taylor Montgomery at MarkeD Tree!

Come experience a stunning spring sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains at our 2026 Spring Wine Dinner. We’re excited to collaborate with Western North Carolina's James Beard Semi-Finalist Chef Taylor Montgomery of Montgomery Sky Farms, alongside the WNC Cheese Trail, to create an unforgettable multi-course wine dinner thoughtfully paired with our signature Marked Tree wines.

This intimate evening brings together seasonal flavors, exceptional wines, and sweeping mountain views for a truly elevated dining experience. The GRAMMY® award winner and guitar virtuoso is known for his jaw-dropping musicianship and soulful storytelling, earning praise as “Nashville’s hottest young player” by Acoustic Guitar magazine, “a guitar-slinging superhero” by Bluegrass Today, and “the Swiss army knife of roots music” by WMOT Radio’s Craig Havighurst

Vineyard Experiences



ESTATE Tour and Tasting 


Encounter sweeping vineyards, the winery tank room, and the barrel room, followed by a seated tasting of five select wines led by one of our dedicated wine experts.  Over a welcoming glass, learn about our winemaking process, the vines we grow, and our story as you move through key spaces. Tours are intimate and informative, designed for groups of six to eight guests. If more than 8 are needed please reach out at 828.513.3773 for more information.

The Estate Tour & Tasting is available for $60 per guest.

Barrel Room Food and Wine Experience

The Estate experience, above, is enhanced with a sensory journey of food and wine excellence. Five top wines paired with a curated grazing platter. Begin with a welcoming glass and tour before settling into our Barrel Room, or the glass-enclosed Library overlooking the Barrel Room for smaller groups with one of our wine educators. The Estate Barrel Room Food and Wine Experience is available for $100 per guest. Bring a jacket!

*PLEASE NOTE* The Estate Barrel Room Food and Wine experience is 21+ and pet-free. While the Library is temperature controlled, the Barrel Room remains a chilled 55 degrees. Please dress accordingly to ensure your comfort.

The Club Late Night and Opening night of the Square Affair!

Join us for a special Opening Night Event for Wine Club Members only in the Watershed Building, where you'll have the opportunity to meet with some of the talented artists whose work is beautifully showcased in The Square Affair event led by the Arts Council of Henderson County.  
Raise a glass of Marked Tree wine as you browse the stunning pieces on display, enjoy the views, and perhaps place some of the first bids. Come unwind with us and enjoy the view. Reservations are recommended and can be made through Tock. If you haven’t created a Tock account yet, be sure to use the same email associated with your Marked Tree Wine Club membership. Each wine club member can bring up to 8 including themselves. Reservations will appear only when you’re logged in with that email.

From Greenville/ Spartanburg take I-26 to exit 53 onto Upward Road. Drive 2.6 miles and turn right onto Deep Gap Road. Continue on Deep Gap Road .75 mile entrance on the left.

From Asheville take I-40W to I-26E. Drive 22 miles to exit 53, turn left onto Upward Road. Drive 2.6 miles turn right onto Deep Gap Road. Continue on Deep Gap Road .75 mile entrance on the left.

From Burntshirt Vineyard turn left out of gate drive .5 mile, turn right on to Blue House Road. Drive 1 mile and turn right onto Ridge road drive .6 mile road becomes Upward road. Continue straight 1.1 miles to Deep Gap road, turn left.Continue on Deep Gap Road .75 mile entrance on the left.
